How to Best Use the Space in Your Home to Grow Hydroponics

Posted

If you’ve become convinced that hydroponics is the way to go, but have some questions about how to go about this process, more experienced growers can help. There are a lot of common strategies that can help you to best set up a new hydroponics grow tent or grow box in a residential space.

Identify Unused or Low-Traffic Areas

One very basic strategy is to look for small areas of a house that are not being currently used. Whether it’s that space under the stairs or an empty corner of a parlor, living room or rec room, it can be relatively easy to install a small hydroponics grow chamber kit in one of these previously empty areas.

Assess a Kitchen Space

There’s another revolutionary new design principle that’s helping many families to install hydroponics grow features in a home. It starts in the kitchen. Some hydroponics grow kits are now being made as kitchen appliances. These multi-use setups can accommodate space saving measures to help put more hydroponics grow space into a home. Some examples include butcher blocks with hydroponic gardens inside, and wall hanging pot or garden that can be easily watered from a sink or faucet. All o these require dedicated setups that split or share water lines to kitchen appliances, or some other method for routine irrigation that will help “water-fed” plants to thrive over multiple plant cycles.
